Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Local Nests and what we offer our clients. My philosophy is simple, yet essential: be transparent, be honest, and communicate clearly—every step of the way.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2009 (Go Gophers!) with a Bachelor of Science in Retail Merchandising and Management, during what many will remember as one of the most challenging economic periods in recent history. Job placement rates were low, opportunities were scarce, and the uncertainty was overwhelming. Despite this, I began my career as an assistant store manager with a large retail department store, where I spent six years developing strong leadership, operational, and client-service skills.

My husband and I married in 2010, and our family began to grow soon after. In 2011, we welcomed our first daughter, Macie, and purchased our first rental property in Brooklyn Center. Our second daughter, Bella, joined our family in 2013, followed by Allie in 2015. In 2025, life surprised us with our fourth baby girl, Hanna.

During this time, my husband—who also graduated in 2009—faced his own employment challenges and joined his family’s restaurant business in western Wisconsin. What began as a reluctant step became a decade-long education in ownership, operations, and entrepreneurship. Together, these experiences shaped our passion for real estate, investing, and building long-term stability.

By late 2018, I was a young mom of three feeling exhausted and disconnected from the career path I once envisioned. Determined to create something more for my family, I made the decision to pivot into real estate. I began working as a representative for a luxury new construction builder on the east side of the Twin Cities, immersing myself in the industry while studying for my real estate license. I earned my license in October 2018 and closed my first transaction in March 2019. Since then, my business has grown intentionally and steadily.

In 2023, our family faced an unexpected and deeply challenging season when Bella experienced a serious health scare. She was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), which required surgery to remove a tumor from her jaw followed immediately by chemotherapy treatments. While the journey was incredibly difficult, we were grateful to learn that LCH carries a very high survival rate. In May of 2024, Bella completed her final round of chemotherapy, and we remain profoundly thankful for her recovery and outcome.

Today, we own multiple rental properties and assist others with managing their investment homes. I have helped more than 150 clients buy, sell, build, and invest in real estate. Nothing compares to the moment a client finds the home—the confidence, excitement, and joy that comes with it. When you work with me, you are not just a transaction; you become part of my extended real estate family. I take pride in learning each client’s goals and advocating for them every step of the way.

Outside of real estate, I am currently training for my first marathon in 2026—a personal goal that reflects the discipline and perseverance I bring to both life and business. While I love traveling and exploring new places, people, and cultures, nothing brings me more happiness than being home with my family—often enjoying a quiet evening in and, as they say, “Netflix and chill.”

This journey—both personally and professionally—has given me a profoundly different perspective on life. I am deeply humbled, grateful, and blessed to wake up each morning to my children, my husband, our fur son, Russell, and the opportunity to do work I truly love!
